Naivasha Tiny House - Tasmania

After immigrating to Australia some 25 years ago, Linda and her young family were looking for a new forever home. While on holiday in Tasmania, they knew they'd found it. While out for a drive in an unexplored area, they stumbled upon an abandoned cottage. It was beside a lake out in the bush near Deloraine, in Tasmania's north. It took 3 months of intensive renovations, with the help of lots of friends and many late nights before the family could move into the cottage. They lived there for 3 years, while building a new home. The cottage is now known as Naivasha Cottage. It overlooks a lake and natural bush. There are ducks and chooks and wildlife galore.  A highlight is the 120 year old claw foot bath in the open air bath house. A more recent addition is Naivasha Tiny House, a romantic retreat for 2. Inside it boasts a wood fire, a claw foot bath, a window seat beside a picture window, and a loft bedroom with skylights for stargazing. But the main attraction is the wood fired hot tub, where you can soak while immersed in nature.
