The Burrows
When you first walk into The Burrows, all you can smell are the freshly baked croissants left for guests on the kitchen table and you can’t help but feel instantly at home.
Nestled in the herbage of Oyster Bay on Tasmania’s East Coast, The Burrows is the culmination of all things Tasmanian. This cosy coastal home took owners, Bek and Paul, ten years to find and since purchasing, Bek and Paul have been loving restoring this home. Curating this old shelter to represent the future they want for themselves and to share a truly Tasmanian experience for those who come to stay here at The Burrows.
The Burrows has been a labour of love and is filled with an eclectic mix of treasures, bespoke finds and original artworks, some handed down through family and others sourced and collected by the couple from auctions, markets and salvage yards. The 1860's stone cottage has undergone a number of transformations over the years, with additions in the 1950's, 1970's and more recently Bek and Paul have undertaken significant renovations to open up The Burrows to capture the expansive views of Freycinet and the Hazards.
Whatever the weather, this little cottage set within the rugged coastal landscape is the perfect escape from the hectic pace of everyday life and provides a secluded retreat in which to slow down, relax, dream and reconnect.
