“I firmly centre all my work around the principle that we have to create art. Art by definition does not include permanence or longevity, however, in our current digital landscape, art is less permanent than ever. I believe, as photographers, we hold the power and responsibility to create work that invites a pause, or a spot on your wall. In photography and also in life, there’s so much value in those imperfect moments. We must make space for them in our photos. I’m still very much learning this trade and I’m certain I will be a student forever. Every time I pick up a camera it shapes my work, processes and progress.”
Valentina is a photographer and marketing manager based in Tamworth, New South Wales. Outside of her nine to five, you’re likely to find her with her horses close by and she loves capturing the real and humble moments in life that easily slip by unnoticed.
Valentina picks up a camera only when she is inspired, playing by the notion that it has to be fun above anything else. Juggling lots of work, Valentina finds photography to be an important creative outlet.
